Haimer USA has appointed Manuel Merkt as chief operating officer (COO) and vice-president of marketing.
Merkt brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Hermle USA, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to innovation. Prior to joining Haimer, he headed the U.S. operations of the Swiss-based digital cutting machine manufacturer Zund America.
Originally from Germany, Merkt began his career with a traditional dual apprenticeship program with Hermle AG, and continued his further education with degrees in Industrial Engineering from Coventry University in the UK and the University of Applied Science in Constance, Germany.
In 2010, Merkt joined Hermle USA as an executive assistant, quickly advancing to operations manager in 2014 and subsequently to president and COO. His leadership was instrumental in the $3 million expansion of Hermle USA’s headquarters, enhancing the company’s operational capabilities and customer support infrastructure.
As COO and vice-president of marketing at Haimer USA, Merkt will oversee operations and spearhead marketing initiatives to drive the company’s growth and market presence. His strategic vision and expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the company's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
"Joining the Haimer USA team as the COO and VP of Marketing is an exciting new chapter for me," said Manuel Merkt. "I'm eager to collaborate with the Haimer Team as we share the passion for quality, innovation, and the drive for customer satisfaction. I’m confident that together, we'll make great strides in the industry and provide customer service that matches the quality of our products."
"We are thrilled to welcome Manuel Merkt to the Haimer family," said Brendt Holden, president and CEO of Haimer USA. "His proven track record of leadership and innovation will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our customers with cutting-edge solutions."
