At FABTECH 2015, Ficep Corp. will introduce a dual-gantry system that incorporates CNC drilling, milling, tapping, countersinking, counterboring, scribing, and cutting. The system incorporates both oxyfuel and plasma for weld prep and shape cutting.
In addition, the company will exhibit Intelligent Steel Fabrication for the processing of structural steel. The CNC structural drilling lines comprise subaxis positioning for not only drilling, but also for milling of copes, rat holes, weld prep, and larger cutouts as required.
The systems include automatic tool changers interfaced with direct-drive spindle technology to help maximize the horsepower at the tool with speeds up to 5,000 RPM.
