Now there’s no need to tilt the head of a mill or machine an expensive pair of jaws to accomplish only one angle in a setup. Kurt has two popular options to accomplish very common part positioning angles including 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25°, 30°, 45° and 60°.
Kurt 3-In-One Jaw System increases the versatility of any standard 6 or 8-inch Kurt vise. It’s a simple, bolt on jaw system with a series of preset patterns with aligning pins. The jaws hold parts precisely like conventional jaw plates but with the extra benefit of allowing aggressive machining while clamping at preset angles. The 3-In-One jaw system can also be used as a work-piece work stop and a parallel, so it’s really three products in one.
Kurt Sine Parallels increase the versatility of any standard 6-inch Kurt vise with standard hard jaws or soft jaws. They install and position quickly and easily with a single bolt for each plate. No need to remove jaw plates—they remain in the vise while using the Sine Parallels. Following the initial setup, the Sine Parallels can be quickly changed to any of the other angles and also be used as a parallel.
“Kurt’s Sine Parallels and 3-In-One Jaw Systems are ideal for any lot size from prototype to production,” reports Steve Kane, global sales and marketing manager for Kurt. “These vise accessory products are a better and more cost-effective option than building a special fixture or special machining. They add versatility to any existing standard Kurt 6 or 8-inch vise at a modest cost.”
